Coeur CEO Comments on Silver Price & Market Volatility

Kitco News sits with Coeur Mining's CEO Mitch Krebs to talk about silver’s recent price action and how he plans to position the company to excel under current market conditions. The company released 2015 production results earlier this month, which showed that Coeur produced 15.9 million ounces of silver and 327,908 gold ounces. Krebs noted that he expects Coeur to supply another 14.6 to 16.0 million ounces of silver onto the market in 2016.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (Oct. 16, 2015) – Coeur Mining Inc. (NYSE: CDE) has committed $125,000 toward the Minerals and Energy Industries Center of Excellence at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and has pledged to double the amount if market prices of gold and silver rise within five years. Coeur owns the Wharf Gold Mine near Terry Peak and has long been a supporter of the university and its mining engineering and management programs. The gift was announced today while Coeur executives are on campus for an industrial advisory board meeting.
