Mineral Reserves and Mineral Resources

Diagrammatic relationship between mineral resources and mineral (ore) reserves.

Coeur reports its estimated mineral (ore) reserves and additional mineral resources (exclusive of mineral reserves) on an annual basis.

Mineral reserves correspond to “Ore “Reserves per US SEC and ASX (JORC) classification. Proven reserves correspond to “Proved” per ASX (JORC) guidelines.

Metal prices used to estimate mineral reserves were $11 US per silver ounce and $600 US per gold ounce for Rochester, Cerro Bayo, Martha, and San Bartolomé; $550 US per gold ounce for Kensington, $15 US per silver ounce at Endeavor and $13.5 US per silver ounce at Broken Hill.

Mineral reserve and mineral resource estimates are as of December 31, 2007 for all properties except for Endeavor and Broken Hill which are effective as of June 30, 2007. Mineral resources for Palmarejo are effective as of September 17, 2007.

Mineral resources are in addition to mineral reserves and have not demonstrated economic viability
