PERFORMANCE GOALS

The balance among environmental protection, health and safety, and social responsibility is a cornerstone of Coeur's strategic business plan.

Efforts to link these essential factors are already underway, but integrating them will be an ongoing process.

To succeed in the future, we must continue to demonstrate that our performance is consistent with our objectives. A comprehensive company-wide strategic plan that includes goals and objectives by which we will evaluate our progress has been implemented.

As a part of this plan, we have strengthened our commitment to responsible mineral development by focusing on the following goals over the next two years:

Continue to improve environmental, health and safety performance.

• Our goal is to achieve no environmental, health or safety violations, a meaningful reduction in lost-time accidents, no spills outside of containment areas, and no chemical-related wildlife mortalities.
• Routinely perform environmental, health and safety audits of all of our operating facilities.
• Document and report on employee environmental, health and safety training programs.
• Reduce our incident rates company wide by 10 percent.

Aggressively conduct concurrent rehabilitation at all our operations.

Broaden our understanding of our environment and safety responsibilities, and of the communities in which we operate.
