Coeur’s activities in 2007 at its wholly-owned Rio Blanco gold prospect, consisted of road build and preparation for drilling. The property is located in the Eastern Cordillera of Bolivia, about 25 km east of the community of Tasna. The property contains a long, complex mesothermal vein / stockwork / manto gold system hosted in Paleozoic - aged sedimentary units, possibly similar in style to the Bendigo gold deposits of Australia. Preliminary mapping and surface trenching have returned promising gold values over wide stretches, with best values of 89 m @ 1.32 g/t Au, 48 m @ 1.60 g/t Au.
