Mitchell J. Krebs, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mitchell J. Krebs was named President and CEO in July, 2011. He joined Coeur in 1995 after spending several years in the investment banking industry in New York. Mr. Krebs has held various positions in the corporate development department, including Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. In March, 2008, Mr. Krebs was named Chief Financial Officer, a position he held until being appointed President and CEO. He holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard University.  Mr. Krebs has also served as a member of the board of directors of Kansas City Southern Railway Company since May 2017.

Peter C. Mitchell, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Peter Mitchell came to Coeur from Taseko Mines Limited where he served as Chief Financial Officer. In that capacity he led Taseko's financial operations, including sourcing strategic capital to fund the company's strategic growth plan. Previously, Mr. Mitchell was involved in leading and managing growth in private equity portfolio companies through acquisitions, integrations and greenfield initiatives. Mr. Mitchell is a Chartered Accountant with a BA in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.

Frank L. Hanagarne, Jr., Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Frank Hanagarne was most recently Chief Operating Officer of Valcambi, SA, a precious metal refiner in Switzerland, in which Newmont Mining Corporation has an equity interest. Prior to his appointment as operations head of Valcambi in early 2011, Mr. Hanagarne was a Director of Corporate Development for Newmont. Mr. Hanagarne's 17 years of service at Newmont has included positions of increasing responsibility within key areas of Newmont's operations and business functions as well as environmental, health and safety. He has a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Bachelor of Metallurgical Engineering degree from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.

Casey Nault, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Casey Nault has extensive experience as a corporate and securities lawyer, including prior in-house positions with Starbucks and Washington Mutual and law firm experience with Graham & Dunn in Seattle and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles. His experience includes securities compliance and SEC reporting, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings and other strategic transactions. Mr. Nault has a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Washington and received his law degree from the University of Southern California Law School.

Hans Rasmussen, Senior Vice President, Exploration

Mr. Rasmussen has many years of experience in the mining business, 16 years of which were with senior producers Newmont Mining and Kennecott/Rio Tinto; as well as serving as a consultant for senior producers such as BHP, Teck-Cominco and Quadra Mining. Since 2004, he has been an officer or served on the Board of Directors of several junior public exploration companies with gold and silver projects in Quebec, Nevada, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia. Mr. Rasmussen has a Master of Science in Geophysics from the University of Utah, and Bachelor of Science degrees in Geology and Physics from Southern Oregon University.

Humberto Rada, President, Manquiri

Humberto Rada was appointed President of Coeur South America and of Coeur’s Bolivian subsidiary Empresa Minera Manquiri, S.A. in July 2008. Prior to that Mr. Rada served as General Manager for Newmont Mining Corporation’s Bolivian company Inti Raymi. Mr. Rada is currently President of Bolivia’s National Mining Association and has over 23 years of experience in South American mining and finance.  

Emilie C. Schouten, Vice President, Human Resources

Emilie C. Schouten was named Vice President, Human Resources in May 2016. She joined Coeur in 2013 as the Director of Talent Acquisition and Development. She was one of the first hired when Coeur moved the headquarters to Chicago and therefore, was instrumental in hiring the new team and implementing the performance management system for the Company. Emilie has 15 years in Human Resources, starting her career in General Electric, where graduated from GE’s Human Resources Leadership Program. After 6 years as an HR Manager with GE, her division was acquired by the world’s largest electrical distribution company, Rexel, and Emilie went on to become the Director of Training and Development. Emilie has her B.A. in Sociology from Michigan State University and her M.S. in Industrial Labor Relations from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
