• Mitchell J. Krebs, President and Chief Executive Officer

  Mitchell J. Krebs was named President and CEO in July, 2011. He joined Coeur in 1995 after spending several years in the investment banking industry in New York. Mr. Krebs has held various positions in the corporate development department, including Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. In March, 2008, Mr. Krebs was named Chief Financial Officer, a position he held until being appointed President and CEO. He holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard University.

• Frank L. Hanagarne, Jr,. Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Interim Chief Financial Officer

  Frank Hanagarne was most recently Chief Operating Officer of Valcambi, SA, a precious metal refiner in Switzerland, in which Newmont Mining Corporation has an equity interest. Prior to his appointment as operations head of Valcambi in early 2011, Mr. Hanagarne was a Director of Corporate Development for Newmont. Mr. Hanagarne's 17 years of service at Newmont has included positions of increasing responsibility within key areas of Newmont's operations and business functions as well as environmental, health and safety. He has a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Bachelor of Metallurgical Engineering degree from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.

• Donald J. Birak, Senior Vice President, Exploration

  Donald J. Birak was appointed Senior Vice President, Exploration of Coeur in January 2004. Prior to that, Mr. Birak was Vice President of Exploration for AngloGold North America, Inc. and Vice President of Exploration for Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Co. Ltd. In March 2001, Mr. Birak was co-recipient of the Bill Dennis Prospector of the Year Award presented by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.

• Keagan J. Kerr, Vice President, Human Resources and Communications

  Keagan Kerr has over 11 years of progressive human resources experience at large scale global mining operations. Before coming to Coeur, Mr. Kerr was the Regional Manager for Talent Management and Learning & Development for the Australia Pacific region of Barrick Gold Corporation. Mr. Kerr is skilled in employee relations, talent management, succession planning, business improvement, change leadership and learning and organizational development. Prior to his appointment in Australia, Mr. Kerr served as Manager of Organization Development at the Barrick Cortez property in Nevada. Mr. Kerr holds a BA in Public Relations and Communications from Florida Southern College and a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University.

• Joe Phillips, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer

  Joe Phillips has 40 years of experience in mine development and operations and has a proven record of leadership and team building resulting in successfully building mines on time and on budget. Mr. Phillips comes to Coeur from Silver Standard Resources where he served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Development and acting Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, Mr. Phillips served as Senior Vice President of Project Development at Pan American Silver. Mr. Phillips is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines and has completed Graduate studies in Engineering Management at the University of South Florida.

• Casey Nault, Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

  Casey Nault has approximately 15 years’ experience as a corporate and securities lawyer, including prior in-house positions with Starbucks and Washington Mutual and law firm experience with Graham & Dunn in Seattle and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles. His experience includes securities compliance and SEC reporting, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings and other strategic transactions. Mr. Nault has a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Washington and received his law degree from the University of Southern California Law School.

• Luke J. Russell, Senior Vice President, Environment and Community

  Luke J. Russell was appointed Senior Vice President of Environmental, Health, Safety and Social Responsibility in July 2011. Prior to being promoted to this position, Mr. Russell served as Vice President of Environmental Services. Before joining Coeur, Mr. Russell was Coeur d’Alene Basin Project Manager for the State of Idaho’s Department of Environmental Quality and held a series of increasingly responsible positions in environmental management at major mining companies. Mr. Russell was Director of Environmental and Government Affairs for Coeur from 1995 to 2000.

• Humberto Rada, President, Manquiri

  Humberto Rada was appointed President of Coeur South America and of Coeur’s Bolivian subsidiary Empresa Minera Manquiri, S.A. in July 2008. Prior to that Mr. Rada served as General Manager for Newmont Mining Corporation’s Bolivian company Inti Raymi. Mr. Rada is currently President of Bolivia’s National Mining Association and has over 23 years of experience in South American mining and finance.

• Mike Harrison, Vice President, Business Development

  Prior to joining Coeur, Mike Harrison was Director of Investment Banking for the Mining Group at Cormark Securities Inc. in Toronto, Canada. In addition to seven years of investment banking experience, Mr. Harrison spent eight years in BHP Billiton's Global Exploration Group after receiving his BS in geophysics engineering from Queen's University in Kingston Ontario. Mr. Harrison also holds an MBA with Distinction from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
